Abstract :
The third harmonic (150 Hz) equivalent circuit of turbine-generator stator windings is introduced. The sensitivity of various 150 Hz ground fault protection schemes for stator windings are analyzed in detail by using the equivalent circuits. A ne protection scheme with high sensitivity is deduced, whose technical characteristics have been proved in practical operation
