Abstract
Full scale Novosibirsk free electron laser (FEL) is to generate coherent monochromatic tunable radiation within the spectral range from 5 to 300 micrometers. Novosibirsk terahertz FEL, the first stage of the facility, generates radiation in the spectral range between 120 and 240 micrometers on the fundamental harmonic and 40 -117 micrometers on second and third harmonics. During the past year NovoFEL was operating as a user facility. Experiments in physics, chemistry, biology, condense matter and technology at four user stations are surveyed in this paper. Current status of the construction of the second stage of NovoFEL is presented.
