Abstract
We propose BCH-coded optical CDMA with side information. The received optical power is used as the side information to generate erasure symbols for unreliable received symbols. The codewords including erasure symbols are then decoded by soft-decision BCH decoding. The bit error rate (BER) is analyzed and shown for the system using a prime code sequence. It is found the BER can be improved in the region of high BER
