Abstract
The need of hardware emulators for logic simulation is becoming a widely accepted requirement, especially as the hardware complexity continues to increase and the design time to decrease. However, raw speed is not the only requirement for a hardware emulator. This paper discusses some of the requirements that designers are demanding from hardware emulation. The main aspect focused on is the application of synthesis to compile behavioural models for emulation
