Abstract :
EAST, a non-circular superconducting tokamak device, is to realize stable operation and carry out advanced operational mode. ECH system is one of the most important plasma heating and current driving methods for EAST. After referring to ECH systems operating on the other devices all over the world, a primary design of ECH for EAST will be provided according to the main parameters and physical experiment plan on EAST. This ECH system mainly consists of gyrotron, cooling water system, transmission line (MOU, waveguide, miter bends, switchers, polarizer, vacuum valve and ion pump, DC breaker, power measurement, power monitor), dummy load, launcher, high voltage power supply (HVPS) and control system.
