Abstract
In this paper, we present vector oriented control framework for 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor using dSPACE DS1103 real-time simulation platform. This framework will be used for rapid development of advanced vector oriented control algorithms. dSPACE software and hardware is providing interfaces to measure stator currents and rotor speeds and in conjunction with Freescale power stage it is capable of supplying space vector pulse-width modulated voltages to the stator of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). Simple example of PMSM control is presented to demonstrate the dSPACE capabilities.
