Abstract
The spurious turn-on and turn-off of power semiconductor devices in converters, can be alleviated by the application of relevant snubber techniques. The operation of a resonant snubber circuit at approximately 100 kHz is described. The authors attempt to establish the trade-offs and limitations of this technology when applied to GTO PWM power convertors
