Abstract
In this paper, traceability of frequency hopped spread spectrum codes is studied in the presence of multi-user interference. Traceability is a useful narrowband auto-ambiguity function property for local oscillator synchronization. Synchronization algorithms can be designed to use traceability to reduce synchronization time and number of false synchronization events. The paper focuses on the linear congruence code family which is maximally traceable. Multi-user interference is shown to decrease the signal-to-interference ratio but not significantly impact traceability
