Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new method to sharpen the prominent object of an image by using a reference image. Our method is processed with the human visual system (HVS), and our main work is divided into three parts: constructing an image sharpening model, obtaining a proper reference image from the origin image and the final sharpened image. Unlike other simple sharpening methods, our method only sharpens the prominent object in the image rather than the noise or background texture. Experimental results show that our method is better than other sharpening methods.
