Abstract :
Fano Algorithm only searches one path, and it may easily lose correct path when encountering severe noise interference. A new sequential decoding method that is based on Genetic Algorithm (GA) is proposed in this paper. This method uses population search strategy and processes several paths simultaneously, so it can search wider range and trace the path optimized. It also can adjust the threshold self-adaptable to change the population size in order to decode correctly and rapidly. The basic theory and feasibility of the algorithm are discussed and used in the correction of the video data transmission. Its experiment results and performance evaluation have also been given in the paper.
