Abstract
In this paper, a novel technique for designing hyperchaos-based cryptosystem is presented. In the proposed scheme, the plaintexts are masked by the Rossler´s systems. The hyperchaotic signal is synchronized between the encrypter and the decrypter. The decrypter is a nonlinear observer for the state of the encrypter. Moreover, the observer gains are determined using the linear quadratic regulator (LQR).
