Abstract :
This paper presents a method to simulate water waves. First, in the making of water waves, the method based on Airy waves is easily implemented and has a fine effect. Second, the method based on Gerstner waves is physical and can make breaking waves. So we combined the two methods together and proposed a simple method to make water waves. Compared with other methods, our method is easily implemented to simulate many forms of water waves such as lake waves, ocean waves and breaking waves.
