Abstract
In this work a novel steganographic method has been proposed for hiding the information within the spatial domain of an color image. The proposed approach works by checking the Most Significant Bits (MSB) of the three planes (R, G, B) in the color image and embedding the data (here, Text file) in Least Significant Bits (LSB) of the planes based on the minimum value constraint of MSB using variable embedding technique. According to the experimental results , it is observed that the security is improved compared to the existing methods with a reasonable PSNR.
