  • Abstract
The described spectral-analysis principle based on sweep-filtering is cheap to realize and it is absolutely usable. So it is possible to perform usable continuous-spectrum analysis effectively, if the main requirement is met (i.e. a rather large sweeptime To is allowed, and the signal is stationary during every sweep). A system has been built and tested. It consists of: 6 parallel analysis-systems based on switched capacitor filters. 5 analog delay registers/bucket brigade delay-lines. 1 `fourfold´-frequency-transformation circuit based on 2 BBD-delay-lines and analog switches. 1 analog addition circuit, analog antialiasing filters 1 control-logic/clock-generator circuit. The system performs the described spectral-estimation including spectral averaging and `fourfold´-frequency transformation. It has been tested in different connections with good results
