Abstract :
HP2P is a two-layer hybrid P2P network that combines the merits of DHT and flooding methods. It is proposed to improve poor scalability and low efficiency in the flooding-based unstructured P2P networks as well as low stability in the DHT-based structured P2P networks. HP2P is a new P2P framework that is believed to be useful in the real network. By the analysis and simulation of HP2P, we conclude that HP2P is good at efficiency, scalability, and stability.
