Abstract :
The design of robust controller under specific performance requirements is dealt in this contribution. An active suspension system is selected as a case of study. Hinfin controller is designed using Riccati equations and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). H2 and LQG controllers are designed using Riccati equations. These methods are applied to an augmented system which consists of the plant transfer function and some weighting functions. These weighting functions are adjusted so that the performance requirements are met. Also, the designed controllers are compared by their order, stability margins such as gain, phase and modulus margins and performance achievement.
