Abstract :
This paper proposes a single-stage contactless power system having high power factor with gap and load detection. The circuit topology originates from the integration of boost power factor correction converters and a half-bridge series-resonant inverter. A method to detect the gap and load variation based on electromagnetic induction. The designed contactless power system is able to transfer energy and signal simultaneously. The proposed system has the advantages of simple structure, low component count, high power factor and low current harmonic.
