Abstract
A novel watermark hiding algorithm based on chaotic map in discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain is proposed. Based on good randomness and easy reproduce of the chaotic sequences, firstly the watermark is permuted, then a small number of reference points are selected randomly, finally batch-type disorder watermark bits are embedded into the neighborhood of each reference point by quantifying the DCT coefficients into odd or even zones. The properties of the watermark are discussed. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show the invisibility is good, and the extracted watermarks are robust against the common image processing, especially for the Gaussian noise and JPEG compression. The proposed scheme is secure and easy real-time implementation.
