Abstract :
The efficiency of existing circuit simulators to a great extent depends on the numerical algorithms used for solving nonlinear algebraic equations. The new method presented for solving nonlinear algebraic equations provides a larger convergence region than commonly used in circuit simulation programs using the Newton-Raphson method. This new method was implemented in DC analysis module of the design system PRAM-PC developed at Kiev Politechnical Institute and described in work of Petrenko and Semenkov (1985). Practical experience shows that the proposed approach allows one to solve some DC problems where popular circuit simulator SPICE-2 gave no convergence
