Abstract
As wireless is more and more popular in this world, wireless local area network (WLAN) based on IEEE802.11 has been achieving great development. This paper introduces a method to design and implement access control system on Linux operating system. The Access Control (AC) system allows the user access Internet if he or she has passed authentication and monitors the user´s action by intrusion detection system (IDS). At the same time, the network address translator (NAT) technology can defense outer network attack. Therefore, the system can not only resist the outer attack but also the inner intrusion.
