  • Abstract
The load modeling in load-flow, stability or reliability studies is still a problem for specialists. The majority of computer programs developed so far use deterministic models, when an accurate analysis is necessary, the use of other than deterministic models is required. The authors present an alternative technique to yield a feeder load model. Following a brief summary of fuzzy sets theory, two algorithms are presented. The first one allows one to obtain a load model using measured data in a power system. This model represents the daily feeder loads by fuzzy conditional statements. The second algorithm is a means to merge different feeder load models. Illustrative examples of these algorithms are presented using Hydro-Quebec Power System data
