Abstract :
We often use video data of simulcast type to provide video content of quality selection over broadband network. But its type is not superior from the viewpoint of the efficiency of transmission and data storage. In this paper, we propose the CDS: "contents download service" system based on human behavior. We present the distributed system of contents delivery for users using contents reservation at any download point, and this system realizes the stable contents service of video. From the viewpoint of data size and data transcoding, data structure using hierarchical coding is efficient for this service. Especially, we indicate that this system gets good performance for multi-quality video, and as servers can concentrate to work the quality selection of video subsets according to users\´ requests and the manipulation of data transmission, the transmission time is shorter and users can enjoy the services of watching video as quickly as possible
