Abstract :
The authors present an analysis of the trade-offs for the production of volume reflection gratings. The main object of the investigation is the production of narrow-band reflection filters, position tuneable over the 1200-1600 nm range for optical fibre systems applications. Results showing a very good performance, close to theoretical predictions, for 100 micron thick films, results for 500 micron thick films are presented and analysed
