Abstract
A calculation-experimental method is proposed for estimating the stress intensity factors of modes I and II and determining stresses that act along a crack line before the crack appears. Displacements discontinuities measured at several points at the crack edges are used as initial data. The method is based on the integral representation of the solution describing elastic equilibrium of an anisotropic plate with a curved cut. An example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method proposed.
