  • Abstract
    In the case of Taking lightning protection measures for the railway, high-performance devices instead of conventional surge counters are required in order to detect invasion pathways of lightning surge currents into a signal control room or a railroad crossing control box, and evaluate the degradation level of a surge protective devices (SPD). To solve these problems, we have developed Surge Monitor. By using the device, we have been able to measure lightning surge currents in detail, so we report details of the device in this paper.
