Abstract :
As the Internet is used for more and more secure transactions, such as shopping, banking, submitting tax returns, etc., several institutions and companies have proposed using the Internet as a medium for remote electronic voting, either as an alternative or replacement for traditional poll site and paper absentee ballot systems. This paper reviews the requirements of such systems, compares the security of such systems to the traditional systems, and proposes several concepts to bring remote electronic voting closer to fruition, addressing issues of secure remote machines
