Abstract
In the present paper, role of FIR cavity and output coupler in degrading the efficiency of OPML is discussed. To enhance the efficiency, a novel structure for FIR cavity with output coupling slots is simulated using HFSS. Simulated result shows significant improvement in efficiency.
