Abstract :
TVM 400 is a range of ATC systems built around the same basic architecture with a consistent set of hardware and software modules. System modularity ensures compatibility: the same rolling stock can be used under different operating conditions and with different signalling equipment. The flexibility of the system permits functional (safety and speed increase, etc.) and technical (new transmission channels) improvements. TVM 400 is an open system that can fulfil from the simplest to the most sophisticated needs in train operation requirements, from speed monitoring with or without wayside signalling to fully automated operation
