Abstract :
Smith-Purcell (SP) effect has been widely used for the generation of the millimeter to infrared wave radiation. The theoretical study and computer simulation on the SP radiation in a special kind of 3-mirror cavity with a grating on the inner surface, a cylindrical mirror, are given in the paper. The results show that it might be a good promising THz radiation source with kW CW power at room temperature.
