Abstract :
Intelligent control is getting lots of attentions in the area of electric drive system. A novel fuzzy-PI hybrid control method is proposed to control the speed and the dc-link voltage of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drive system with voltage booster based on the analysis of traditional PI control. The IPMSM drive system consists of a voltage booster to control the dc-link voltage and a conventional PWM inverter, which drives IPMSM for a wide speed range. The simulated and experimental results for a 1.5 kW IPMSM show the improved performance by novel fuzzy-PI controller is superior to the traditional and it works well with high dynamic and static performance because of its advantage in quick response and good robustness
