CAD representation of variable speed drives for downhole pump applications

The authors illustrate the usefulness of a CAD package, Silvar Lisco, for the simulation of variable speed drives including the type used for downhole pump applications on oil production sites. This complete software package was conceived to aid in the design of VLSI circuits. However one of the subroutines ANDI has been found to be powerful in the simulation of power electronic circuits and in particular machine variable speed drives.
