Abstract :
The authors describe several DC linear motors which are microprocessor controlled and as the field source, use NdFeB magnets, the newly developed high energy, rare earth permanent magnets. A ferrite-field DC linear motor is also described and its parameters are compared with those of the NdFeB-field motors
