Abstract :
Queueing networks with two layer configuration of upper layer and lower layer are proposed to provide well structured hierarchy of network models for performance analysis of practical applications. For two layer queueing network without outstanding queues, the product form equilibrium distribution is derived for the state of the network. Based on the result of the product form distribution, an approximate method to analyze two layer network with outstanding queues is proposed
