Abstract
We consider a cognitive multi-antenna radar system that is capable of adjusting radar waveforms for iterative transmission based on prior radar scattering channel information. We formulate the cognitive target detection problem. The performance of the detection algorithm by matched illumination is tested using numerical examples and is compared with the time reversal waveforms. The detection results demonstrate the success of the algorithm.
