Abstract :
The artificial aerosol is widely used in modern battlefields to protect potential targets and to conceal movement of personnel and material. In this paper we calculated the double-band infrared extinction coefficients of the aerosol and compared them with our experimental data. In the calculation, the particulates were assumed spherical in shape and Mie´s theory was employed with the grain size distribution function being lognormal. This research is of practical significance in the design of infrared aerosols.
