Abstract
The Security Console Project at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has designed and implemented a series of security communications command centers for monitoring and controlling its physical security systems. The author discusses the important aspects of this project that address reliable, site-independent operation. Major concepts presented include the use of operator workstations, map-based alarm displays, rule-based incident assessment, and computer-aided configuration management
