Abstract :
Research on high power vacuum power tubes including coupled-cavity TWTs and magnetron oscillators is underway. 3-D numerical simulation codes and analytic calculation are used to predict the dispersion characteristics of the rf circuit. Electronic efficiencies are obtained from the 3-D particle-in-cell simulations.
