Abstract :
This paper presents the expression of bit error rate (BER) for cooperative communication with multiple relays by exploiting the concepts of Alamouti space-time code. The channel organization is model based on time division multiple access (TDMA) mode. Signal processing at relay terminals is operating in the amplify-and-forward (AF) approach under slow flat Rayleigh fading channel. Signal selection is based on the maximum gain of the source-relay link. Using the moment generating function (MGF) technique, the total signal to noise ratio (SNR) over the source-relay link and the average BER with binary phase shift keying (BPSK) are derived. Our formulation is applicable to cooperative links with any number of relay paths. We observe that the more SNR of both SR and RD links, the better bit error rate performance.
