Abstract
A W-band powerful three-cavity gyroklystron with the TE/sub 021/ operating mode is currently under investigation at the Institute of Applied Physics (CAP) and GYCOM Co. We reported previously a 195 kW peak output power, corresponding to 25% efficiency and 26 dB gain. Recently, a three-cavity gyroklystron produced 265 kW peak at 93.2 GHz with an efficiency of 26%. A saturated 22 dB gain and bandwidth of about 360 MHz have been observed.
