Abstract :
The ridge-loaded ring-plane circuit and its modification can operate over a relatively wide bandwidth. The dispersion equation of the symmetrical mode of ridge-loaded ring-plane slow wave structure is investigated, by means of the field matching method, and the theoretical results show good agreement with the experimental results presented in this paper. A new method to broaden its bandwidth is also developed. The large signal result for ridge-loaded ring-plane TWT is given.
