Digital audio in the BBC´s radio network operations

A system for achieving all-digital radio broadcasts from OB site to the transmitter has been designed and installed. Only by actually installing such systems in a working environment can all the potential operational and engineering problems be revealed and understood. Some indication is given, in the future developments section, as to the areas that require further investigation and development. A major consideration is that of digital audio signal routing which was not addressed in the system that has been described
