Abstract :
Three-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations for 0.3THz reflex klystron performed by commercial code "MAGIC3D" show that a micro-fabricated reflex klystron can be a promising radiation source in the THz frequency region. Using 1 keV, 20 mA electron beam, over 100 mW power transfer from the kinetic energy of the electron beam to the electromagnetic energy in the resonant cavity could be obtained.
