Abstract :
The transparent glass-ceramics doped by Cr/sup 3+/ were prepared in the system of ZnO-B/sub 2/O/sub 3/-Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/-SiO/sub 2/. The absorption and emission spectra of Cr/sup 3+/ were measured and studied respectively. The absolute luminescence quantum efficiency of 0.378 and scattering coefficient of 0.03 cm/sup -1/ were obtained.
