Abstract :
Describes a fuzzy system that learns engineering diagnostic knowledge and performs fuzzy reasoning. The system has the capability of learning human heuristic knowledge, automatically generating statistical knowledge, and accumulative learning. The system has been implemented in a fuzzy system for engine vacuum leak diagnosis used in the end-of-line test at automobile assembly plants, the implemented system has been tested extensively and its performance is presented
