Abstract
Synchronization is performed by light-triggering an optical ring-oscillator composed of an optical intensity inverter and an optical feedback circuit. An experimental synchronization circuit using a TM-polarized-light injected DFB LD inverter is demonstrated. The applications of the circuit may include a fully-optic repeater, a system synchronization circuit used for optical switching systems, and optical signal processing systems
