Abstract
This paper presents preliminary results for an active power filter which uses the distorted network voltage to which it is connected to derive its compensation current references. This control philosophy allows the active power filter to be connected to the appropriate busbar without the need to install current transducers on the busbar incomer and hence reduces the cost and disruption caused by the installation
