Abstract
The authors propose and realize a new semiconductor optical gate in which the output light is controlled by light signals. The structure of this optical gate device is simple because it does not explicitly involve electrical signals. For a demonstration of principle, the output light was modulated with light signals of a 5 Mbit/s pulse train
