Abstract :
The Analytical Strategic Environmental Assessment (ANSEA) is a relatively new tool that targets to manage the ongoing shortfalls and infeasibilities especially in strategic decision-making levels of SEA process. The ANSEA incorporates the phase of Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) into the assessment scheme in order to perform more sensitive approach to the real decision-making context in environmental planning & management. This paper proposes an approach based on Fuzzy Axiomatic Design (FAD) to assign suitable MCA technique during execution process of ANSEA. The proposed decision aid mechanism is expected to ensure additional contributions for enhancing the current ANSEA procedure in practice.
