Abstract :
China is a vast country with frequent snow disaster which affects highway traffic transportation seriously. Starting from computer simulation principle of highway snow drift, this paper calculate highway snow deposition form with different highway characteristic parameters, wind speeds and so on by using the computational fluid dynamics software of FLUENT, and comparative analysis with the results of wind tunnel experiments which have proven the reliability and the validity of the simulation results, and have determined the more superior design parameters, thus a new design aid is offered to the highway optimization design in snow drift area.
