Abstract :
There is a great diversity of different chemical substances found in the World Ocean. Revealing of their physicochemical features and location using special sensors is a typical example of the application of computer biochemistry and molecular technology. The population of marine chemical substances contains natural oligopeptides and their analogues. They are produced by many marine living organisms and can be a result of human activity. These molecules possessing unique structures and great diversity of different chemical groups can efficiently bind to the natural specialized receptors or artificial sensors. This work is devoted to the computer study of common chemical features of 950 natural oligopeptides and some related substances, in particular specific chemical groups, protruding out of the molecule backbone, and interaction of these ligands with sensor structures under underwater conditions
